Duties
* Works under the direction of the Facility Manager who provides general instructions, standard procedures, overall priorities and policies, and relies on the incumbent to control work operations and accomplish an adequate quantity and quality of work.
* Serves as the technical and administrative supervisor over auto shop operations exercising full supervisory responsibility over work operations.
* Ensures monthly inventories of controlled property are performed and reports discrepancies to supervisor as they occur.
* Assists patrons with automotive repair and independently performs automotive repair as required.

* Must be able to physically able to bend, lift, and work in awkward positions.
* Frequently lifts parts and equipment weigh up to 20 pounds. And occasionally lift and carry, items that weigh to 70 pounds.
* Must possess a valid driver's license as required by local/state.
* Willing and able to work rotating shifts to include nights, weekends.
Qualifications
1. Experience and training that provide the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the duties of this position consistent with accepted practices of the trade.
2. Ability to use and maintain appropriates tools and equipment.
3. Ability to use and maintain appropriates tools and equipment. Ability to read, understand and apply instruction and other materials related to the job.
4. Demonstrated ability to lead and/or supervise.
Best Qualifying Criteria
1. Possess one (1) year DoD MWR management experience in the Auto Skills arena.
2. Possess Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications or valid US Trade School graduation with an automotive specialty. (please provide certificates at the time application)

FWS Allowances and Differentials
* All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
* Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400.
