What Will You Do
* Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
* Oversee GL, AP, and Intercompany (IC) activities, including booking, payments, and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with group policies
* Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed on time and drive the timely resolution of open items
* Coordinate and support statutory audits and tax filings across international entities, including IFRS to Local GAAP bridging
* Own and manage intercompany processes, ensuring alignment across entities and resolving discrepancies efficiently
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., controlling, tax, treasury) to ensure smooth financial operations and alignment on accounting topics
* Drive continuous improvements, standardization, and automation of accounting processes and internal controls
* Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, providing guidance on day-to-day activities and fostering accountability
What Will You Bring
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus
* 6–8 years of accounting experience with strong exposure to GL, AP, and intercompany processes
* 2–3 years of experience leading or mentoring a team
* Working experience with HGB is highly preferred, IFRS is nice to have
* Experience with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) and strong Excel skills
* Full professional proficiency in English and German (both written and spoken)
* Structured, detail-oriented, and proactive working style
* Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and focus on process improvement and automation
