Postdoctoral Scientist (f/m/d) in the Translational Nuclear Medicine Research Group

Duration/Term of employment : The position is limited to one year in accordance with the WissZeitVG (German Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act) with the option of extension. The possibility of habilitation is given.

Project: Development of radioligands for theranostic applications in oncology
Your tasks:
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with in-depth knowledge of organic chemistry to join our multidisciplinary research team for the development of novel radioligands for imaging and therapy of oncological diseases. The successful candidate will design, synthesize, and characterize small-molecule ligands and develop radiolabeling methods with short-lived radioisotopes for positron emission tomography (PET). Beyond the application of established methods, the candidate is expected to develop new synthesis routes and implement innovative strategies in ligand design, including dual labeling with fluorophores.In addition, participation in preclinical experiments in cell and animal models is expected.
Your profile:
* PhD in chemistry, medical biology, (radio)pharmacy, oncology
* Keen interest in experimental research
* Experience in organic chemistry, tracer synthesis, click chemistry, radiopharmacy, and working with cell and animal models
* Participation in the co-supervision of PhD students
* Willingness to participate in teaching activities for students of Medicine and Biomedical Engineering
* High motivation and strong team-working skills
* Good command of written and spoken English (level B2 or higher)
* FELASA B certification is an advantage
