Job Description
* Develop strategies to strengthen the role of PtX and promote a sustainable hydrogen economy at the European level.
* Engage proactively with policymakers, regulators, and associations, representing ENERTRAG’s interests in meetings, consultations, and conferences.
* Monitor and analyze ongoing and upcoming EU initiatives, regulations, and directives in the areas of energy, sustainability, and innovation.
* Prepare position papers, policy briefs, and recommendations to support the implementation of relevant EU regulations (e.g., RFNBO).
* Collaborate with partners, associations, and stakeholders to coordinate common policy goals for the PtX sector.
* Track EU legislation related to energy, hydrogen, and innovation, and provide strategic recommendations to ENERTRAG.
* Work in close cooperation with internal departments such as Business Development, Legal, Communications, and Sales to ensure that political and business priorities are seamlessly aligned
Qualifications
* Master’s degree or equivalent in political science, law, engineering, or a related field
* At least 5–7 years of experience in policy, regulatory affairs, or public affairs—ideally in energy, sustainability, or clean technologies
* Excellent knowledge of European energy and climate policy (e.g., Green Deal, Fit for 55) and the ability to assess political developments confidently
* Strong understanding of PtX technologies and their role in decarbonization
* Proven analytical, strategic, and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in international networks
* Fluent in English; good knowledge of German is desirable, and basic French is an advantage
