Responsibilities
* Strategic Impact: You shape and lead the company-wide design strategy and vision, align it with business goals and market trends, as well as design system evolution, content writing process, and localization
* Team Leadership: You lead a team of ~20 FTE, including 2 Heads of Product Design, Head of Research, Content Writing Lead, and Design Systems Lead. You oversee hiring coordination and budgeting
* Success Metrics: You optimize metrics such as design maturity, organizational effectiveness, cross-discipline integration, hiring success, and brand alignment
* Operations Optimization: You evolve design operations at scale, staying on top of emerging technologies and design trends, implementing efficient workflows, standardization across disciplines, and consistent tooling
* Stakeholder Alignment: You work closely with Product Management, Engineering and Marketing executive leadership to ensure effective collaboration and continuous improvement
* Excellence Culture: You foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement within your team
Qualifications
* Experience: 10+ years in Product Design, including leadership or creative director experience
* Technical Skills: Mastery of user-centered design, UX research, information architecture, and interaction design; strong combination of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and creativity with attention to detail and innovation
* Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; you inspire teams, mentor talent, and scale high-performing organizations
* Track Record: Led design success in international, fast-moving product organizations with diverse stakeholders; shipped complex digital products end-to-end and demonstrated business acumen linking design to outcomes
* Passion: Passion for fitness, health, and technology; motivated by purpose and data-driven product work
* Languages: Business-fluent in English; German a plus
First 6 months
* Customer & Market Understanding: Develop a strong understanding of customer needs and the market
* Product Ecosystem: Gain strong knowledge of the EGYM ecosystem and its value proposition
* Team Relationships: Earn the trust and appreciation of your team and key cross-functional partners
* Strategic Impact: Improve with your team the user research and product design processes and help shape our design vision
