, we are now seeking an experienced
Sales Manager
to drive further expansion and strengthen relationships with key customers.
Established in 2001 and headquartered in North Carolina, USA, the company has grown into a trusted partner for both multinational companies and emerging beauty start-up. They collaborate with their clients to discover, create, and implement fresh product concepts in order to help them accomplish their innovation objectives.
This role is field-based, with regular customer interaction and responsibility for a significant portfolio of specialty ingredients.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of existing accounts (~15–20 key customers plus additional prospects).
* Develop new business through proactive customer engagement, introduction of new products, and follow-up on sample requests.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with R&D, procurement, and commercial stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams (technical support, marketing, regulatory, customer service) to ensure smooth project execution.
* Represent our clinet at industry events, trade shows, and company meetings (occasional travel to Italy HQ and bi-annual US conferences).
* Utilise Salesforce CRM to track opportunities, manage accounts, and report on sales performance.
* Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to sustained double-digit growth in the DACH region.
Experience Needed:
* Proven track record in sales within specialty chemicals,
active ingredients, pharma, or food
industries.
* Strong commercial drive with both hunting and farming experience.
* Energetic, vibrant personality, and willingness to travel extensively (5–6 visits per month).
* Ideally degree-qualified in Chemistry, Biology, or related technical discipline; however, candidates with strong sales background in relevant sectors will also be considered.
* Experience managing large, complex product portfolios.
* Independent, organised, and adaptable with the ability to work autonomously.
