Overview
The Logistics Specialist – Transport Arrangement is part of the Automotive Logistics Department and supports the daily planning, coordination and follow-up of vehicle transportation across Europe.
The role works closely with internal teams, logistics service providers and transport partners to ensure smooth transport execution, accurate shipment tracking, proper documentation and timely delivery to customers, dealers and other stakeholders.
This position plays an important role in supporting efficient vehicle movement, reliable operational coordination and continuous improvement of transport processes.
Your Job
• Coordinate daily communication with internal teams, logistics service providers and transport partners.
• Arrange vehicle transport by truck, shipping or combined transport solutions across Europe.
• Follow up on shipment status and ensure timely updates on transport progress.
• Track vehicle movements and maintain accurate transport records in systems and Excel tools.
• Prepare, collect and follow up transport-related documents, invoices and supporting paperwork.
• Monitor transport delays, operational issues and bottlenecks, and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Support logistics supplier coordination, including supplier list maintenance and performance follow-up.
• Participate in regular supplier review meetings and support operational improvement actions.
• Identify opportunities to improve transport workflows, visibility and operational efficiency.
• Provide operational support for transport-related logistics activities when required.
Your Profile
• Experience in vehicle logistics, transport arrangement, shipping, trucking, logistics operations or supplier coordination.
• Good understanding of transport processes, shipment tracking, logistics documentation and vehicle movement control.
• Ability to quickly understand, prioritize and resolve transport-related operational issues in a structured way.
• Strong communication skills with internal teams, logistics service providers, transport partners and external stakeholders.
• Ability to build professional working relationships with logistics suppliers and transport partners.
• Structured, detail-oriented and proactive working style with strong follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple transport topics in parallel and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience defining, documenting or improving transport and logistics processes is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with logistics systems is an advantage.
• Fluent German and good English skills; another European language is an advantage
