Hauptaufgaben
Fabricates, over hauls, installs and repairs railings, frames, gratings, stairs, locks, rims, steel doors, windows, fences, fence posts, playground equipment etc. Cuts from raw metal stock such as pipes, iron and steel bars and metal sheets the parts to proper size as prescribed on drawings, sketches or according to furnished measurements, patterns and instructions. Forms and repairs parts by forging, shaping, brazing and other methods. Uses hand tools and machine tools common to the trade. Disassembles machines and equipment for general overhaul. Cleans lubricates and replaces defective and worn parts. Assembles and tests machines upon completion of repair and overhaul. Is responsible for new installation and updating several locking systems (SAFLOK, Pegasys etc.) within the USAG Ansbach. Serves as technical expert for all required installation or replacement of new locks in buildings, software update as well as managing locking plans for different buildings, also in the Army Portfolio Management Solution (APMS). Must complete all required software / hardware computer trainings as well as must be aware of all software updates for locking systems. Coordinates with customer and contractor for installation of new locking systems. Trains, instructs and leads co-workers with new systems, attends meetings and trainings for new programs and systems. Maintains and updates technical documentation records for all systems. Negotiates with contractors on the correction of minor deficiencies. Is responsible for fabrication of all required signs within the Garrison ( e.g. traffic signs, building signs, direction signs) All information signs will be fabricated with a special computer software program as well as a special sign machine. This requires knowledge and adequate computer software as well as technical knowledge of using fabrication equipment for signs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifikationsanforderungen
Completed vocational training in the appropriate trade PLUS 2 years experience at a level of difficulty comparable to the Wage Group 5 or equivalent. The applicant must be able to perform the duties independently.
Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung in der entsprechenden Gewerbegruppe mit einer Ausbildungsdauer von mindestens 30 Monaten, PLUS 2 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Lohngruppe 5 oder in, vom Schwierigkeitsgrad vergleichbaren Taetigkeiten, welche selbstaendig ausgeuebt wurden.

8 years of specialized experience of which 3 years must have been performed at the wage group 5 or equivalent level.
8 Jahre einschlaegige Berufserfahrung von denen mindestens 3 Jahre in der Lohngruppe 5 oder vergleichbaren Taetigkeiten ausgeuebt wurden.
• Bewerber müssen den Führerschein Klasse B besitzen. / Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B.
