Preferred qualifications: Experience driving growth metrics and funnel optimization for a product. Understanding of hardware and software life-cycle development. Understanding of user experience design principles for large screen devices. About the job At Google, we put our users first. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users. As an Onboarding PM, your goal is to drive growth metrics by crafting initial experiences and optimizing the new user journey to improve user activation. You will lead the evolution of Android's device shareability capabilities, building a multi-user identity experience that prioritizes privacy, security and performance across Consumer, Education and Enterprise segments. You will craft and deliver an onboarding strategy that empowers new users to engage with their devices confidently, and find ways to scale and evolve these solutions through Google AI. Responsibilities Develop and secure buy-in for a product goal that identifies, defines, and supports the overall product narrative and direction, achieving an outcome that is greater than the sum of its parts. Operationalize strategy into product roadmaps and collaborate with stakeholders to align on priorities and compose high-quality feature PRDs to clearly articulate requirements, milestones and next steps. Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineers, PgMs, UX) during product design and development to implement the requirements to turn PRDs into OKRs for one or more teams. Build an understanding of users, market, landscape, and relevant technologies and cultivate working relationships with cross-product area partners in Android across multiple form factors. Collaborate with Data Science, UX Research and Engineering to pilot experiments, extract learnings, and rapidly iterate to define and meet success criteria.
