Description and Requirements
As an Inside Account Manager – Data Center for Public Sector (m/f/d), you will support the strategic and operational sales of Lenovo Data Center solutions across the West Germany region. You will work with municipalities, state authorities, public institutions, and other public sector organizations, helping to build long-term customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
Working closely with our Public Sector Key Account team, channel partners, and technical specialists, you will contribute to the continued growth of our Data Center business. This role offers an excellent opportunity for sales professionals looking to develop their career in the IT infrastructure and public sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the development and execution of strategic business plans in close collaboration with the OneLenovo Client Manager.
2. Drive business development activities within the public sector across North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Saarland.
3. Build and maintain relationships with IT stakeholders, procurement departments, and public sector decision-makers.
4. Promote and sell the Lenovo Data Center portfolio, including servers, storage, networking, edge computing, HCI, cloud, AI, and software-defined solutions.
5. Support customers on their digital transformation, IT modernization, and hybrid cloud initiatives.
6. Identify relevant public tenders and support procurement and bidding activities in cooperation with internal teams.
7. Collaborate with channel partners, system integrators, and technology partners to support successful project execution.
8. Build and manage sales opportunities, maintain pipeline and forecast accuracy, and support the full sales cycle.
9. Participate in customer meetings, partner engagements, and relevant industry events.
Qualifications
10. Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
11. 1–3 years of sales experience, ideally within the IT infrastructure, data center, or AI sector.
12. Interest in working with public sector customers and understanding their business environment.
13. Strong communication and presentation skills with a customer-focused mindset.
14. Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams.
15. Self-motivated, organized, and solution-oriented approach to work.
16. Willingness to travel occasionally within the West Germany region.
17. Fluent German (written and spoken) and good English language skills.
