Job purpose
Participate in design and ensure implementation of the business development strategy to generate new/ additional business, maximize profit and grow market share for a defined geographic region in line with business strategy, financial objectives, Group guidelines and policies
Principal accountabilities
* Manages and drives performance of New Energy as defined by Strategy 2030 expected CAGR >38%
* Respsosible for Global Sector and Customer development, lead regional sector heads in a matrix environment, expected 3 FTE.
* New Energy by definition consists of 8 segments, Wind, Solar, Battery Storage (BESS), EV, EV charging, Grid transmission, Hydrogen and Alternative fuels. (SMF & SAF).
* NE and OEM business development in particular focus on development of the fastest gowing origin markets CN & East Asian in coordination with regional business development teams.
* Develops yearly growth plan based on Global, Regional & country targets
* Develops plans based on targeted customers within the NE Sector driving cross regional selling and solutions for the segments
* Steers and improves Sales performance through effective processes and performance measurement.
* Plans and manages the Global, regional and country customer portfolio of NE sector
* Executes sales plan.
* Responsible for RFI/RFQ/tender submission and pricing strategies for the region.
* Close collaboration with all products within the division, OFR, AFR, IP, Road & CDZ
* Development of Global and Regional plans to achieve short and medium term strategy targeting growth in the sector focus on Solar, BESS, EV, & Wind in a fast growing market
* Distinguishing between very short term growths (winning orders) and future development
* Maintaining links across DHL Group network Globally actively engaging X-BU activity with DHL Supply Chain & DHLE focus on customer solutions, joint initiatives and syenegies.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience
* Market awareness of DGF NE pefomance
* CRM - Customer relationship management.
* Global Sector growth
* Regional Sector growth.
* Regional Sector operations performance.
* Hands-on working with regional countries and global to implement solutions.
* 10+ years FF experience
* 10+ years experience within commercial function
* 5+ years in business development role or Commercial Role
* 10 years seniority with a certain level of rank enabling to provide a steer in a matrix organisation as well as communicating at senior management level.
* Proven successful sales/business development, with solid demostarted commercial skills within freight forwarding
* Understanding of the NE sector constraints
* Freight forwarding knowledge / experience
* Ability to operate in a matrix organization
* Outgoing and structured with some attention to details.
