Your tasks
9. Analytical procedure: Independent execution of analyses after training on the respective equipment.
10. Range of methods:
11. Chromatography (GC, GC-MS, IC)
12. Spectroscopy (UV-Vis)
13. Wet chemistry such as titrations (including Karl Fischer water determination), pH measurements, density determinations
14. Sample preparation: Precise pipetting and independent creation of complex dilution series
15. Equipment responsibility: Performing calibrations and validations of analytical systems
16. Optional/Prospective: Support in methodology development
17. Documentation: Timely and precise recording of results in a laboratory information and management system (LIMS) as well as in the traditional laboratory journal.
18. Laboratory organization & safety:
19. Material provision and maintenance (including loading/emptying the laboratory dishwasher)
20. Chemicals and inventory management (reordering as needed)
21. Performing routine safety checks (e.g. visual inspection of gas warning sensors, functional tests of emergency showers)
Your profile
22. Education/Background: Completed training as a chemical laboratory assistant, CTA or comparable scientific training with an analytical focus
23. Professional experience with analytical instruments and methods (GC, GC MS, Karl Fisher, titration, etc.)
24. IT & software skills:
25. Safe use of MS Office / Google Workspace.
26. Experience with common laboratory software (e.g., LabSolutions, OpenLab, Tiamo ) is a major plus, but not a disqualifying factor – the willingness and ability to quickly familiarize oneself with it is a prerequisite.
27. Language skills:
28. Excellent German and good English skills, both spoken and written.
29. Independence: After thorough training, independent work and working alone on the analysis equipment is expected.
30. Reliability & diligence: High quality awareness in sample preparation and documentation in the flexible R&D environment
31. Team spirit: Willingness to actively participate in team discussions and to conscientiously take on general organizational laboratory tasks (order, safety).
