Job Description
1. Implementation and enhancement of our global tax risk management framework
2. Identify, assess, and monitor tax-related risks globally, together with our local teams
3. Lead tax reviews globally and ensure global standards in line with our tax risk management framework
4. Be responsible for the development and implementation of internal tax risk control measures and mitigation strategies
5. Stay current with changes in tax legislation globally in Continental Group’s key jurisdictions and assess the potential impact on our global tax risk position
6. As part of central tax team, support the local Continental teams preparing appropriate documentation for internal and external audits
7. Support our International Tax Team as well as the Tax Compliance Team in the global risk reporting process
8. Represent Continental’s Tax Team in cross‑functional, group wide projects involving tax implications and risk considerations
9. Be the “Tax Risk Management” face to Continental Group Senior Management and other stakeholders
10. Coordination and continuous improvement of the GTC reporting process within the International Tax department; regular consultation with Tax Reporting and Accounting Principles department (TRAP) to optimize the coordination of tasks
11. Determination of review priorities with the aim of improving the reporting quality and enhance the reliability of tax-related forecasts
12. Develop tax‑efficient processes ( residency certificates) and contribute to strategic tax planning activities; Process management for the yearly application of certificates of residence
13. Preparation of and presentation at internal workshops
Qualifications
14. University degree in economics, finance, business administration with a focus on business taxation or comparable qualification
15. German certified tax advisor or equivalent qualification
16. Long experience in international taxation and global tax reviews / tax due diligence projects
17. Strong technical tax knowledge and understanding of tax compliance, regulations, and reporting requirements
18. Ability to understand tax regulations and requirements of different countries quickly and to analyze the impact on Continental’s international group companies
19. Excellent risk analysis and assessment competencies, critical‑thinking and decision‑making skills
20. High affinity for digitalization and process automation
21. English proficiency / German B2 and better preferred
22. High attention to detail, discretion, and sound professional judgment
23. High cultural awareness and curiosity
24. Team player with a pro-active hands-on mentality
25. Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex tax concepts
26. Willingness to travel
