Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like solar PV and batteries. In addition, we have a clear strategy to develop our solar PV and battery operations further.
The Business Unit Solar & Batteries (BU SoBa) is part of Vattenfall’s Business Area Wind, responsible for all large-scale solar PV and battery storage development across Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands and the UK. BU SoBa operates along the full value chain – from early-stage development and financing to construction and operations – with the clear ambition to grow a profitable and scalable solar & storage portfolio as a cornerstone of a future-proof energy system.
The Development and Construction department plays a pivotal role within Vattenfall’s Business Area Wind by overseeing the finalisation of the business case and construction of renewable energy projects, namely solar PV and battery storage initiatives including typically high voltage substations. By managing projects from early development through to operations, our team ensures the successful execution of Vattenfall’s renewable energy strategy.
Oversee and coordinate subcontractors and site supervisors.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
Review project progress and change order requests from subcontractors.
Provide workable technical solutions to the project team.
Experience: minimum 5 years in the construction of renewable energy projects, with a preference for photovoltaic or battery projects, ideally with an electrical background.

Proficient in all Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint, Excel and Word).

Language: good knowledge of English and German are required.
Valid driver's license and willingness to work on various project sites.
