As a strategic procurement leader, you will be responsible for analyzing global markets and identifying procurement networks, suppliers, capacities, and technologies to optimize our supply chains. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to develop and execute a global category strategy, focusing on supply security, margin and market growth, cost and CO2 reduction, as well as make-or-buy analyses.
You will manage supplier selection and negotiations, set commercial frameworks, and foster stakeholder management to maximize the value contribution of global procurement as a competitive advantage. Additionally, you will drive the development of the supplier portfolio, create cost transparency, and establish methods, tools, and processes for benchmarking and best-practice sharing.
Furthermore, you will support cross-functional projects, generate cost-saving initiatives, and collaborate with the legal department to finalize contractual agreements.
What We Look for in Our Ideal Candidate:
* A university degree in business, economics, or engineering with a focus on procurement, or comparable professional qualifications.
* Several years of experience in international strategic procurement at a high financial level.
* Expertise in sourcing methodologies, category management, and supply chain management, paired with strong negotiation skills and in-depth market knowledge.
* Strategic thinking, project management expertise, and excellent analytical, communication, and intercultural collaboration skills.
* An authentic, goal-oriented, and self-driven team player and leader, exceling in building networks and fostering cooperation within international and culturally diverse environments.
* Fluency in German and English, with a willingness to travel up to 40%.
