Your duties include
* You represent the competence field of smart environments in teaching and research. You combine design and technical aspects with a clear focus on sensor networks. You design and evaluate these smart environments as room-filling or room-spanning installations smartified by sensors and actuators, which are characterized by a network of multimodal and interactive media systems. You address both private or closed spaces (such as smart homes and smart factories through Industry 4.0) and public as well as extensive spaces (such as smart buildings and smart cities) and classify these within the “Internet of Everything”
* Research and development activities
* Proactive acquisition of third-party funding through research and transfer activities
* Practice-oriented teaching in the subject areas both in German and in English and also using digital formats (e-learning, blended learning)
* Content-specific and strategic further development of the subject areas with special focus on digitization
* High-quality supervision of practical assignments, Bachelor's and Master's theses as well as doctorates
* Involvement in setting up new international partnerships and maintaining existing ones
* Active and interdisciplinary involvement in administering academic affairs
You offer
* Preferably an academic university degree in the field with relevance to smart environments, e.g. media informatics, computer science, UI-UX design or interaction design
* Thematic focus on the conception, design and implementation of innovative design and
* interaction projects in the media sector
* Expertise in the development and design of media technologies with forward-looking concepts, e.g. in the areas of automation, predictive maintenance, AI and UX
* High professional and academic qualifications in smart environments
* Knowledge in the development and evaluation of complex system solutions using scientific methods and tools
* Practical professional experience in working with and/or leading interdisciplinary teams
* Strong skills in communication, cooperation and teamwork to solve complex problems in a highly dynamic working environment
* Very good German and English proficiency and ability and willingness to teach in German and in English
* Enthusiasm for passing on your practical experience in teaching applied research to our students as future academics

Recruitment pursuant to Article 57 (3) to the BayHIG
* Completed university degree, preferably in the field of with relevance for Smart Environments
* Excellent academic achievements in research and an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent academic qualification
* Pedagogical aptitude
* Special achievements in the application or development of academic knowledge and methods in a minimum of five years of work experience, which must have been acquired after completion of the university degree and of which at least three years must have been acquired outside the university sector. If, over a period of at least five years, a considerable portion of your work involved a cooperation between a university and a non-academic employer, this time may be considered to meet the requirements for non-academic work experience in special cases (pursuant to Article 57 (3) Sentence 1 No. 3 of the Bavarian Higher Education Innovation Act (BayHIG)).
