The Scope
This is a Student Assistant position within FSC's Media Engagement team, based in the Bonn headquarters. The student assistant's role will be to contribute to the planning and execution of media engagement activities, including by supporting daily news monitoring, and carrying out research and outreach tasks. The position is best suited for a university student enrolled in a communications, journalism, or related degree who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a mission-driven, international environment.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
* Support media engagement team members with dailynewsmonitoring and research activitiesacrossdigitaland social platforms
* Assistin media and outreach tasks, including organizing communications materials,conducting research on relevanttopics, curatingamonthly news digest,and preparing background information for both journalists and FSC staff members
* Helpidentifyand share media coverage and industry developments that are relevant to the organization's mission
* Provide administrative and coordination support for team meetings, follow-up communications, ongoingprojectsand initiatives
* Activelyparticipatein the brainstorming,pitchingand execution of media engagement efforts and priorities
* Work collaboratively and contribute to ongoing projects and other operational tasks as needed
Your profile
* Currently enrolledatauniversityinor nearBonnwith eligibility to work in Germany
* Pursuinga degree in communications, journalism, political science, international relations, publicpolicyor a related field
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to summarize information clearly
* Organized, reliable and able to managemultipletasks in a fast-paced, international environment
* Familiarity with Microsoft office tools,digital research and social listening tools, andwillingness to develop more knowledge around online analytics
* Strong understanding of, and commitment to, FSC values and objectives

* Ability to work from the Bonn offices
* Ability to workeffectivelyin a team and adapt to an international working environment.

The Fine Print
* Start date: As soon as possible.
* Working hours: 15-20 hours per week (ideally across 3- 5 days per week).
* Duration: 12 months (with an opportunity to extend)
* Remuneration: 14€ gross per hour.
* Location: Bonn, Germany (hybrid).
