We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer (f/m/d) to join us.
As a Mechanical Engineer - Cryogenics & Vacuum (f/m/d), you will be part of a team with a mission to develop, set up and operate our trapped-ion quantum computers and relevant test devices. You will collaborate closely with our international team of physicists and engineers from different disciplines. Create 3D CAD models and drawings for manufacturing, define the product’s mechanical design, and manage CAD data, parts lists, and the Bill of Materials (BOM)
Define manufacturing specifications, support procurement in supplier validation, and collaborate with suppliers on methods, materials, and requirements
Continuously optimize processes within the existing work environment
BSc. or MSc degree in mechanical engineering or comparable
~8+ years of experience in an engineering or R&D environment
~ Proficiency in SolidWorks
~ Business fluent in English, knowledge of German is a plus
An excellent grasp of the fundamentals of mechanical engineering with practical experience
Knowledge of setting up product structure in PDM, PLM and ERP System
Knowledge of other CAD packages
