Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg plays a key role in Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. We are looking for a Site Manager to join our Design & Construction team, responsible for the on-site execution of electrical and controls systems across infrastructure and utility projects.
In this role, you will lead the delivery of MV, LV, and VLV electrical installations—including building systems, process systems, utilities, and substations. You will ensure all work is executed in compliance with design documentation, technical specifications, and German regulations, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery.
This position requires close coordination with project stakeholders and a hands-on approach to site supervision and problem-solving.
What You’ll Do
* Lead and supervise all on-site electrical and controls construction activities for MV, LV, and VLV systems, ensuring compliance with design drawings, specifications, and German standards (VDE, DIN EN 60364, Betriebssicherheitsverordnung);
* Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to verify the correct installation of switchgear, cable trays, busbars, distribution panels, grounding systems, surge protection, and control circuits;
* Coordinate and direct site teams, including electrical craft personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure alignment with project plans, safety protocols, and quality standards;
* Enforce health and safety regulations on site in accordance with German occupational safety laws (ArbSchG) and electrical safety requirements (VDE 0105);
* Identify installation deviations, technical conflicts, and integration issues, and implement corrective actions in coordination with the Construction Manager when necessary;
* Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for client representatives and external stakeholders, providing updates on progress, quality, compliance, and commissioning readiness.
What You’ll Bring
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred);
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site Manager or in a comparable leadership role within the construction industry. Large-scale projects may require additional years of experience;
* Experience in large-scale EPC projects or advanced manufacturing environments (e.g., semiconductor, EV battery, or data centers) is preferred;
* Proven ability to lead and supervise field teams with a strong focus on execution quality and compliance;
* Fluent in English (written and verbal); German language skills are preferred;
* Solid understanding of German building codes, safety standards, and quality requirements, with demonstrated application on construction sites;
* Strong decision-making skills combined with a proactive and results-oriented approach;
* Leading multidisciplinary teams in regulated or complex project environments preferred;
* Proficiency in construction management and digital tools such as Navisworks, Bluebeam, and MS Office;
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a clear focus on technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
