We are looking for a Multi-Role DevOps Engineer as a Working Student This is a working-student position (up to 20 hours per week during semester, up to 40 hours during semester breaks) for students currently enrolled in a Master's program or Bachelor with practical experience. We're looking for students in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Media Informatics, or similar fields. Location: Munich (hybrid: remote on-site as required). Your key responsibilities include You'll support our technical team in developing and maintaining web applications and deployment infrastructure for our creative production environment. You'll gain hands-on experience with modern web development (front end and backend) and DevOps practices – from containerization and CI/CD pipelines to web platforms and automation workflows. You'll assist with building internal tools, web dashboards, API integrations, and automation scripts that keep our workflows running smoothly. You'll work on real production web systems while learning modern development and deployment practices in a creative industry environment. We value curiosity and initiative – if you're excited to learn and contribute ideas, there's room to grow and explore new web technologies with guidance from experienced team members. Your Qualifications and Skills You can work on-site at our Munich office on a regular basis (several days per week) - while some home office flexibility exists, consistent office presence is essential. You're currently enrolled in a Master's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Media Informatics, or a related field. Alternatively, you're an experienced Bachelor's student with prior work experience in development or DevOps environments. You're studying at a university in or near Munich, as we expect regular on-site presence at our Munich office. You have foundational knowledge of web development – experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and at least onemodern framework (React, Angular, Vue) or willingness to learn quickly. You're familiar with backend development concepts and have basic experience with Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript, including REST APIs and database basics. You have foundational knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and are comfortable working in the terminal. You understand version control (Git) and are interested in learning CI/CD pipelines, Docker, containerization, and deployment automation. You're comfortable learning new technologies quickly and aren't afraid to experiment with unfamiliar tools and frameworks. You embrace AI-assisted development tools and understand how to leverage them productively whilemaintaining code quality and security awareness. You have a collaborative mindset and enjoy working in a team environment where knowledge sharing isencouraged. You have strong English skills (professional written and spoken) and good German skills – you should be able to communicate effectively with both international and local team members.
