Overview

Business Development Director – DACH (m/f/d) at Trackunit. We’re seeking a strategic and driven commercial leader to accelerate growth in the DACH markets, shape the future of construction tech, expand Trackunit’s ecosystem, unlock new revenue streams, and build lasting partnerships across the construction landscape. The role offers flexible work arrangements: you can be based at one of our locations or work remotely from anywhere in Germany. No relocation assistance is offered.

Who you are

* 7–10 years of B2B business development or enterprise sales experience, ideally in SaaS, IoT, or construction tech.
* Proven track record closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals and growing enterprise accounts.
* Deep knowledge of the DACH construction or heavy equipment market; experience selling to rental companies or contractors is a strong advantage.
* Commercially strategic mindset with strong analytical skills and executive presence.
* Comfortable operating in a high-growth, international, purpose-driven company.
* Experience using Salesforce and related CRM tools for structured pipeline and account planning.
* Fluency in German.

Primary responsibilities

* Strategic Market Expansion
o Shape and lead the DACH go-to-market strategy in alignment with Trackunit’s global goals and vertical growth focus.
o Identify and prioritise new growth segments, strategic partnerships, and rental opportunities.
o Lead long-term market mapping and opportunity analysis in construction technology and related ecosystems.
* Sales Leadership
o Drive complex deal cycles from discovery through contract negotiation, targeting fleet owners, rental companies, and enterprise accounts.
o Personally manage high-value accounts and influence procurement decisions.
o Develop account penetration strategies and multi-stakeholder engagement plans across strategic customers.
o Deliver consistently on quota and commercial objectives.
* Ecosystem and Partnerships
o Forge commercial alliances and integration partnerships contributing to Trackunit’s ecosystem vision.
o Represent Trackunit in DACH-based industry events, consortia, and innovation forums to elevate our thought leadership.
* Cross-functional Alignment & Execution
o Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, Marketing, and Strategy teams to tailor propositions and ensure strong product-market fit.
o Translate customer feedback into actionable insights for product development and GTM refinement.
o Partner with Customer Success to ensure seamless onboarding, value delivery, and expansion opportunities.
o Implement structured pipeline reviews, sales forecasting, and performance management using CRM and sales analytics.
o Support the KAM team by providing insights into new customers and logos.
