Location: Wuppertal, Germany Start: ASAP Hybrid (max. 2 days/week home office) Full-time Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical/biotech organisation based in Wuppertal on a 12-month contract. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in process equipment rather than production operations, supporting ongoing projects across engineering, validation, and process optimisation. Key Responsibilities Support process engineering activities with a strong focus on equipment (design, qualification, optimisation, and lifecycle management) Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Validation, and QA to ensure compliance with GMP standards Lead or contribute to equipment qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) Analyse and troubleshoot process and equipment-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions Support process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives Assist with documentation, including SOPs, risk assessments, and technical reports Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met Requirements Proven experience as a Process Engineer, ideally within pharma, biotech, or regulated environments Strong background in process equipment (e.g., reactors, filtration systems, filling/packaging equipment, or similar) Experience with GMP regulations and validation processes Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Fluent German (mandatory) and good English communication skills Working Conditions Hybrid setup : On-site presence required, with up to 2 days per week remote work Full-time : 40 hours per week Contract length : 12 months (potential for extension depending on project needs)
