Freelance Opportunity: Project Manager Civil - Logistics
I am currently looking for a freelance expert to support construction logistics at large industrial projects in Saarland region

Project Environment
The project involves conversion and new construction works within the steel manufacturing facility.
This is not a warehouse or site logistics role, but rather a strategic and planning-oriented position focused on construction traffic management and overall site logistics coordination.
Scope of Work:
Lead and coordinate the conceptual and preliminary design phase of site logistics, considering:
* Delivery and removal of materials
* Storage and laydown areas
* Site roads and crane locations
* Utility supply for the construction site
* Interfaces with adjacent facilities and production areas
* Preparation of a detailed construction logistics concept
* Spatial and temporal logistics phase planning
* Alignment with the overall construction schedule
Additional responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing relocation concepts for spare and reserve parts into temporary storage facilities
* Designing and coordinating an overall traffic concept for the construction site area
* Planning and coordinating all logistical activities such as deliveries, waste disposal, and storage management
* Supporting permitting and approval processes
* Preparing bills of quantities and technical specifications for logistics-related services
* Assisting in tendering processes for logistics service providers
* Ensuring continuous utility supply to the construction site
* Managing vehicle and machinery traffic on site to avoid bottlenecks and safety risks
* Risk management: developing contingency (“Plan B”) strategies in case of route blockages or unforeseen disruptions
The role will be primarily on site during the execution phase and requires close coordination with the construction management team and discipline leads.
