Project Engineer - Hydrogen Plant Construction - Permanent - Competitive Salary & Bonus Scheme, Full Benefits Package - Lower Saxony, Germany
This position is with the same client who focus heavily on the Hydrogen sector. This Project Engineer position is to assist with the construction of their latest H2 plant in lower Saxony, Germany.
Our client have experienced consistent growth with their projects year-on-year, operating across the oil & gas, petrochemical and renewable sectors. Now they are shifting their focus drastically towards decarbonization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the design and development of hydrogen systems, such as compressors, refueling infrastructure and storage units.
* Contribute to the technical scope and requirements definition for the project.
* Support the development and design of technical system designs and optimization.
* Maintain and manage key engineering designs, as well as key technical documentation and interface registers.
* Assist with commissioning activities, ensuring regular inspection and testing of all key equipment
* Work with cross-functional teams, internal departments, and external suppliers and contractors, co-ordinating all necessary reports clearly
* Contribute to HAZOP risk assessment and hydrogen safety studies
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field, eg. chemical or mechanical engineering/comparable qualification
* Experience in project engineering within the energy sector, ideally with familiarity in fuel cells, electrolysis or gases used in industry.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with diverse teams and ligase with stakeholders.
* Strong understanding of project management principles and tools.
* Good level of English, German is desirable but not essential
