Job Description Summary
As Head of Service Project Management (m / f / d), this individual leads and defines the strategic execution of Service projects (SER), ensuring timely delivery, customer satisfaction, and budget adherence. The role applies robust operations processes, EHS, and quality systems, and standardizes operating models and tools throughout the OTR cycle. The following teams fall under direct responsibility: Project Management, Contract Management.
Main Tasks :
* Project management: Developing structures, tools, processes, operating models, and rhythms.
* Risks Management: Responsible for defining, maintaining, and executing project risk and opportunities processes, implementation, and tools. Ensuring project risks are managed and accurately reported throughout the project lifecycle.
* Contract Management: Providing contract excellence and expertise, working with customers, partners, and subcontractors in executing projects. The team handles claims management, vendor recoveries, insurance management, bonds, and cash recovery.
Priorities of the job areas of focus :
* Customer communication and satisfaction
* Sales pacing respecting revenue recognition rules
* Project portfolio reviews
* Support to project execution and facilitating contact with Sales within the Region
* Margin deviation monitoring and approval
* Manage risk and opportunities
* Cash collection (overdues, retention)
* Consistency, alignment, and efficiency across all departments
* Reinforce Project Management competencies
* Continuous communication and delivery alignment across all departments, including workshops
* Improve contract management with a strong Return on Expectations (RoE) regarding Terms & Conditions of contracts
Main KPIs :
* Quarterly sales margins, cash-in, and finished goods
* Order overdues (shared with GSC function)
* Under/Overrecovery of direct hours
* Quality and Customer satisfaction KPIs
Education / Experience / Profile :
* Technical graduate degree such as production technology, process engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a technician education in industry/electrical/mechanical engineering
* At least 7 years of managerial experience with personnel responsibility
* Knowledge of ERP processes
* Product knowledge in High Voltage Products, circuit breakers, hybrid switchgears, and instrument transformers is appreciated
* Analytical, conceptual, and strategic thinking skills
* High sensitivity to corporate and leadership culture
* Personal responsibility, creativity, willingness, and goal orientation
* Excellent communication and social skills
* Understanding and interpretation of business KPIs
* Fluent in spoken and written English; German language skills are a plus for presentation skills
* Reliable behavior towards internal and external partners
* Knowledge of regulations, standards, and specifications
* Proficiency in SAP (Focus on Project Management and Engineering)
* Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
* Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (approx. 15%)
