Flight Operations Lead (Satellite) - Munich Area (Hybrid) - Competitive Salary & Benefits We have an amazing and unique opportunity for an experienced Flight Operations Lead with a background in Satellite to work as Flight Director and l ead the Flight Control Team for this major project, the European segment of the International Space Station Your responsibilities will include: Realtime operations responsibility for this major project and operated ESA experiments inside and outside of this specific mission. Responsible for crew safety, vehicle safety and mission success in this specific project, including crew interface. Contingency responses and resolution of anomalies by approving the execution of malfunction and corrective procedures. Interface to external ops centres, real-time product changes, and reporting. Managing the Flight Control Team Increment team and handling of short-term shift plan changes. Lead the Operations Product Services to ESA ODF operations products and ESA ODF management process board function. Be in charge of Operations Product Services to ISS Flight Rules and ESA payload regulation operations products and related management process. Manage Operations Product Services to Joint Operations Interface procedures (JOIPs) and Operations Interface Procedures (OIPs) operations products and related management process. Drive Operations Product Services to standard operations products and regular interface meetings. Provision of Stage Analysis Support services for Guideline and Constraints disposition. Increment Preparation and Near-Real Time Increment Execution Support Services. Be the System Matter Expertise (SME) Know How and Training to flight controller trainees and certified flight controllers, including simulation support. Obtain Operational Expertise with regards to ISS onboard emergency cases and support to Anomaly resolution process. Key skills and qualification: Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant domain Previous position as Ops lead or similar position in S/C Operations or relevant space domain Knowledge of Operations Services for Satellite missions and Payload Safety Management Education in engineering field is required, preferable in aerospace engineering Knowledge of excellent English and intermediate German language Only candidates from the EU or candidates that have been residing in Germany for five years or more will be considered.
