Evotec’s is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated
Cyber Security Analyst (all genders)
Full time and permanent
Responsibilities:
1. Monitor and analyze security events using a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system, with a focus on Sentinel
2. Lead and participate in the handling of incidents, from the initial triage right through to documenting lessons learned
3. Finetuning existing alerts and creating new alert logic to cover new use cases as they arise
4. Proactively hunt for threats, identifying emerging risks and vulnerabilities
5. Plan and conduct vulnerability scans, prioritize findings and track with relevant colleagues
6. Collaborate closely with internal teams and MSSP to ensure effective incident detection and response
7. Assist in the development and maintenance of Security Operations Center (SOC) processes, procedures, and guidelines
8. Stay up to date on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices.
Qualifications:
9. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification
10. Professional working experience in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on incident management and response, vulnerability management, and/or threat hunting
11. Understanding of SIEM, XDR, SOAR, OSINT, EASM and vulnerability management systems and experience using them
12. Proven ability to proactively identify and investigate security threats
13. Strong team player, with the ability to work independently and proactively
14. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex security incidents
15. Effective coordination with internal and external teams
16. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, proficiency in German is a plus
