ABOUT THE ROLE
This Position ist temporary for 1 year with the possibility of extension
YOUR DEPARTMENT:
As Deputy Country Director you will be assigned to the Representative office of "humedica e.V." in Ukraine and will be working in Kiev, Ukraine.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop and implement organisational strategies, structures, and processes across all departments in Ukraine
* Support the Country Director in translating national strategies into operational plans
* Promote a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement
* Lead the digitalization of departments and workflows
* Coordinate across departments and field offices
* Fulfil the role of the Country Director when delegated or in his absence
* Ensure compliance with donor requirements, national legislation, and internal standards
* Represent humedica in coordination forums and with external stakeholders
* Support fundraising and donor engagement efforts

We are also looking for:
YOUR PROFILE:
* University degree in a relevant field
* 7+ years of experience in humanitarian/development work, including 3 years in leadership
* Proven skills in organisational development and compliance
* Strong leadership and team-building abilities
* Fluent in German, English, and Ukrainian/Russian
* Knowledge of donor regulations (e.g. UHF, ECHO, GFFO, BMZ)
DESIRABLE:
* Experience in conflict settings (e.g. Ukraine)
* Familiarity with humanitarian standards (CHS, Sphere, IASC)
* Technical know-how in Health, MHPSS, Protection, CASH and/or WASH
