Job Description:
We are looking for a QC Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) to support quality control activities on a steel plant construction project in Salzgitter, Germany .
The candidate will be responsible for supervising, inspecting, and verifying all electrical and instrumentation installation works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.
This position requires a solid background in E&I systems, experience in industrial construction (preferably steel or power plants), and a proactive approach to quality management and site coordination.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise and inspect electrical and instrumentation works during installation and testing phases.
* Review and verify Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and QA/QC documentation.
* Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable standards.
* Witness testing activities such as cable continuity, insulation resistance, loop checks, and functional tests.
* Verify calibration of instruments and conformity of materials.
* Prepare daily and weekly quality reports and maintain inspection records.
* Coordinate with construction, subcontractor, and client QA/QC teams.
* Identify and report any non-conformities and assist in implementing corrective actions.
* Support commissioning teams during pre-commissioning and energization.
Requirements:
* Degree or diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent technical background).
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in QC for industrial projects (steel, power, oil & gas, or manufacturing plants).
* Solid knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and cabling.
* Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (IEC, EN, ISO).
* Ability to read and interpret single line diagrams, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics.
* English language: good to fluent level (mandatory).
* EU citizenship required.
