We are accelerating our business layout in Europe and are now recruiting a Purchasing Manager based in Düsseldorf.
About the Role
You will be responsible for sourcing and onboarding local German suppliers, building a localized product portfolio, and supporting the rapid growth of our European business.
Responsibilities
* Conduct local supplier sourcing and development focusing on German and European industrial MRO, electrical automation, mechanical tools and related categories; identify, screen and onboard high-quality local suppliers to establish a solid supplier resource pool.
* Establish local supplier access standards, complete qualification review, business assessment and performance evaluation; implement supplier grading management and maintain long-term strategic cooperation relationships.
* Build and enrich the local product pool in accordance with German market demands and key customer procurement standards; collaborate with the Category Manager to complete product entry, information maintenance and compliance review.
* Formulate regional procurement strategies, lead commercial negotiation, contract signing and terms negotiation; continuously optimize procurement cost while ensuring stable supply and competitive pricing.
* Cooperate cross-functionally with local sales, category and operation teams to align supplier and product resources; coordinate with China supply chain teams to ensure efficient collaboration between local and cross-border procurement.
* Monitor German industrial market trends, industry standards and regulatory updates; ensure full procurement compliance with local regulations and JD internal policies.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, International Trade or related fields is preferred.
Required Skills
* Minimum 5 years of industrial MRO / industrial consumables / electrical automation procurement experience in Germany or Europe with solid local supplier network and market insight.
* Proven experience in supplier development, evaluation and relationship management; strong negotiation and contract management skills with successful cost optimization track record.
* Fluent in German (C1 preferred), proficient in English as working language; Mandarin speaker is a plus.
* Familiar with German industrial market practices and compliance requirements; strong cross-cultural communication, independent working ability and result-oriented mindset.
