We are now looking for another team member to join us in Quality + Safety as Global Quality Manager KCS (m/f/d) .
This role is particularly exciting because it combines our global quality strategy with a direct impact on customer satisfaction, compliance and sustainable business growth. At the same time, it offers the opportunity to drive improvements across all sites, shape international collaboration and play an active role in shaping not only quality but also key safety issues.
What you’ll be doing:
You will lead quality strategy, systems, and execution to support compliance and business growth. You will lead the quality strategy, systems, and execution to support compliance and business growth. The role has overall accountability for all aspects of Knauf Ceiling Solutions’ quality activities across Operations and warehouse locations, as well as indirect management of the Quality Responsible team members across the organization. This includes a strong focus on training, alignment, the implementation of best practices, collaboration and compliance with Knauf Group standards.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality management policies, programs, and processes in line with business and Knauf requirements. A key part of the role is driving leadership engagement in quality and leading cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective claims management, thorough root cause investigation, and the implementation of appropriate countermeasures to maintain customer satisfaction.
The position also includes responsibility for ISO 9001 compliance, audit facilitation with global site teams and suppliers, and the further development of quality systems and accreditations. In close cooperation with R&D, technical, supply chain, and purchasing teams, you will ensure product compliance, clear product specifications, and effective supplier quality management processes.
Alongside the quality focus (80%), you will also contribute to selected safety responsibilities (20%), including monitoring and reporting safety KPIs, administering Global Knauf Group self-assessment results, and driving implementation of key safety initiatives across operational sites.
What we’d love for you to have:
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field and bring at least 5–7 years of progressive experience in operations management with a strong quality focus. Experience in an international company is essential.
You have solid knowledge of quality management standards, statistical tools, product compliance requirements, and supplier quality processes. You are a structured and disciplined professional with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to build effective relationships across functions and cultures.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, are required. You inspire others, develop talent, and create followership through credibility and engagement.
