As part of the international Eurofins Group, Eurofins Laborbetriebsgesellschaft Gelsenkirchen GmbH is a modern laboratory for efficient diagnostics. At our two sites, we provide clients with comprehensive services in laboratory medicine, microbiology, and hospital hygiene. Both laboratory divisions are accredited according to DIN EN ISO 15189. To further strengthen our sales activities, we are looking for a Head of Sales with strong leadership skills, strategic vision, and the drive to shape and develop our sales operations in Germany. Geographical location for the position would preferably be in the Gelsenkirchen region. The Head of Sales will report to the Managing Director of GeLaMed.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the sales strategy for GeLaMed in Germany.
* Lead and further develop the existing sales team.
* Support and coach team members in creating and executing customer- or company-specific action plans.
* Define and execute regional marketing activities to increase visibility and demand.
* Plan and manage the sales budget in alignment with company objectives.
* Prepare and maintain sales forecasts.
* Analyze market trends and report regularly to the management team.
* Define and monitor relevant KPIs, including performance reporting to the local leadership team.
* Manage key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and sustainable growth.
* Generate new leads and expand the customer portfolio.
* Monitor markets and analyze competitors in existing and target segments.
* Align sales and training initiatives with strategic objectives.
* Develop commission plans and performance-based compensation structures within Eurofins guidelines.
Qualifications
* University degree in Business, Economics, or Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
* Several years of experience leading a sales team, ideally in clinical diagnostics or healthcare.
* Proven track record in developing and executing sales strategies.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop people.
* High customer orientation, initiative, and a results-driven mindset.
* Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
* Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken; good English skills are mandatory.
