KG Organization Gas Services Business Unit Central Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As a Supplier Quality Engineer (f/m/d) for components and field services at Siemens Energy, you will be an integral part of our mission to ensure fulfillment of requirements to our suppliers. Supporting our cross-functional commodity and operational procurement teams by conducting qualifications, audits & assessments and developing our global product suppliers is integral part of your daily contribution to implement the supply strategy. You will be working and close networking with multi-cultural environment with different departments locally and globally. SQE is addressing nonconformance with conducting containment, RCA, and implementing preventative measures & risk mitigation measures.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Supplier Qualification: Support a cross-functional team by assessing supplier capabilities, auditing supplier quality management system & processes, and ensuring products and services meet applicable standards, specifications, and drawings.
2. Product and Process Qualification: Lead or support cross-functional teams to perform Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) on commodity parts, systems and field services according to applicable process descriptions and standards.
3. Perform source inspection at suppliers of components, systems and field services in the area of responsibility.
4. Coordinate nonconformance processing at the supplier and ensure appropriate actions are taken to prevent recurrence. Support root cause analysis, corrective and preventive measures at supplier for quality issues.
5. Monitor supplier Key Performance Indicators and adjust quality, inspection, and development planning activities accordingly.
6. Manage supplier quality and development tools and databases; support quality oversight for service suppliers including scaffolding, crane and lifting, sand blasting, machining, and related services; SAP experience preferred.
What You Bring
7. Bachelor or master’s degree in mechanical, industrial engineering, or a similar discipline. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
8. Longterm professional experience in supplier quality management or quality management.
9. Technical experience with industrial process technology in energy generation ; Certification as an International Welding Engineer (IWE) is beneficial.
10. Basic knowledge of non-destructive material testing (UT, RT, PT, MT); Preferably experience as Auditor in acc. to ISO9001 and / or, or as nominated IMS supplier auditor (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001).
11. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and German; Familiarity with root cause analysis and other quality & risk management methodologies.
