Then join our international team in the Biologicals division of KWS SAAT as a Laboratory Manager (m/f/d). In this role, you will support the Seed Treatment Selection & Evaluation department and make a significant contribution to the evaluation, quality assurance, and further development of biological seed treatments for various crop types.
The position is a full-time parental leave replacement to be filled as soon as possible at our headquarters in Einbeck (Lower Saxony, Germany) and is limited to two years, ending on 31st of August 2028. We look forward to having you join us!
Your Responsibilities:
1. Microbiological analyses of biologicals and treated seeds
2. Implementation, evaluation, and further development of quality and testing procedures
3. Assessment of the modes of action of biological seed treatments and preparation of results
4. Organization and coordination of operational laboratory processes
5. Maintenance and evaluation of experimental data, including within LIMS systems
6. Close collaboration with internal departments and external partners
Bring your strengths to the table:
7. Apprenticeship as an LTA / BTA or comparable background in the natural sciences
8. Professional experience in microbiological / molecular biological laboratory work, including sterile procedures
9. Confident handling of microorganisms as well as quality and safety standards
10. Ideally, experience with LIMS (e.g., Nautilus) and working with other databases
11. Structured, independent work style and strong team orientation
12. Strong communication skills
13. Enjoyment of precise and routine laboratory work as well as the documentation, standardization, and continuous optimization of processes
14. Good German and English language skills
