We are partnered with a growing chemical manufacturer who are looking for an EMSR Engineer to join their chemical plant in Cologne. As an EMSR Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliable operation of our measurement, control, and electrical systems. You'll take ownership of maintenance, projects, and cybersecurity, using your expertise to help design the future of our technical infrastructure. What You'll Do Lead maintenance activities for measurement, control, and electrical systems. Manage projects from concept through commissioning, including MoC (Management of Change). Contribute to OT cybersecurity initiatives and oversee the SIS system. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and procedures. Develop and refine technical standards for instrumentation and electrical engineering. Support EMSR equipment standardisation and collaborate closely with the project team. Drive plant availability through forward-thinking EMSR concepts and participate in HAZOP safety reviews. What You Bring Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or similar qualification. Experience in chemical plant environments is a plus. Expertise in planning E- and MSR projects. Knowledge of automation and electrical systems, including OT cybersecurity. Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., VDE, Ex protection, IEC61511, WHG). Understanding of electrical power supply and distribution. Strong English skills. Team player with excellent organisational, coordination, and analytical skills.
