About You and This Role As a R&D/ TS&D Lab Technician in Mobility and Transportation Electronics, you will be based in Wiesbaden, Germany, contributing to Dow’s mission to enhance the reliability, performance, and sustainability of transportation and industrial applications. You’ll be part of a team that leverages silicone-based materials to deliver advanced solutions for airbags, seals, battery safety, lighting, and more ensuring safety and environmental responsibility. Your role bridges technical expertise and customer needs, supporting product development and application innovation aligned with Dow’s commercial strategy. Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive Dow’s digital transformation. Support projects addressing chemical, material, and industrial challenges through applied and fundamental research. Provide experimental data to demonstrate differentiated technical solutions. Contribute to product and process development, operational improvements, and supply chain optimization. Apply scientific methods and multidisciplinary approaches to solve technical problems. Use experimental design and modeling tools to understand structure-process-property relationships. Develop and document new methodologies for simulation, characterization, and optimization in proprietary research reports. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Material Science, or a related field. Demonstrated success in managing technical projects. Fluent in English. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in French, German, or another European language. Experience with mechanical testing in accordance with international standards. Your Skills Strong understanding of chemical, polymer, and material properties, as well as manufacturing and supply chain processes. Awareness of machine learning applications in industrial settings. Ability to manage confidential information and system access responsibly. High business acumen with proven stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
