Job Purpose:
Cluster-based role managing the DACH Medical Team responsible for Germany and Switzerland.
Ensure optimal medical and scientific support across the Cluster. A strategic and operational role, a member of the local management team, co-responsible for the commercial success of cluster operations, whilst ensuring such success is reached by providing optimal patient care without ever crossing any medical/ ethical/ compliance line for commercial gain.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
* Hiring, coaching and retention of the DACH Medical Team as appropriate
* Creation and/or review of medical materials, e.g., literature reviews, medical letters, slide kits etc
* Organisation and management of advisory boards
* Building and maintaining a professional network
* Provision of scientific support to speakers upon demand
* Medical/Scientific training to local organisation or business partners
* Medical/Scientific input in marketing plan and materials
* Review of and input into Regulatory Affairs documents, such as label/SmPC updates, DHCP letters, letters to competent authorities
* Execution of Risk Management Plan
* Pharmacovigilance: Accountable for capturing, documenting and processing of Adverse Events on company products
* Liaise with local patient organisations to find out about patients’ needs and required patient support
* Work in matrix with Franchise medical team and network with other medical clusters
* Obtain and maintain in-depth knowledge of guidelines, codes of practice, relevant local law, internal policies and SOPs related to clinical research, promotional materials and activities, as well as informative/educational programs and materials in Cross-Functional alignment with Legal and Compliance colleagues
* Run local assessment of clinical practice related to our therapeutic areas (including identification of Centres of Excellence)
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
* Appropriate experience as a successful affiliate/cluster Medical Affairs Director
* Significant DACH experience in a Medical Affairs Director Role, and an understanding of Medical Affairs processes across the Region would be an advantage
* Full scientific and medical knowledge of KKI’s products and their therapeutic area
* University degree in human medicine
* Significant relevant work experience in clinical research & development in the pharmaceutical industry or related fields
* Experience with orphan drugs, early market access and launches of specialised drugs
* Significant experience of building/leading Medical Science Liaison (MSL) teams
* Strong people management experience
* Fluent in English (written & spoken)
