Role Overview
We are looking for an Engineer / Specialist for Shop Floor IT Support to assist in maintaining and supporting digital manufacturing processes. This role does not require deep hands-on MES expertise — even limited exposure to MES, SAP, or manufacturing IT systems is acceptable, as long as there is solid understanding and comfort working in a live production / shopfloor environment.
Ideal for candidates with basic experience or exposure, who are eager to grow into a specialist working directly with production, process, and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Support digital shopfloor operations and assist users with IT / MES-related needs
* Provide first-level support for production IT systems (basic troubleshooting, user support)
* Monitor manufacturing system workflows and escalate issues when needed
* Coordinate between IT teams and production teams — acting as the bridge
* Assist in digitalization / Industry 4.0 rollout initiatives
* Help document and update procedures, knowledge base, and support guides
Required Qualifications
* Some exposure or basic understanding of MES / SAP / shopfloor production systems
* Comfortable working 100% onsite in a factory/manufacturing environment
* German B2.2 minimum, C1 preferred — must interact daily with local teams
* Strong communication and coordination skills
* Willingness to actively support operations, not a desk-only IT role
Nice-to-Have (Not Mandatory)
* Any prior experience in aerospace / automotive / industrial production
* Familiarity with incident management or ITIL basics
* Interest in Industry 4.0 / digital factory initiatives
Location: Bremen, Hamburg or Augsburg (on-site role)
