Ballistics Engineer - Soft Ballistics

Ballistics Engineer
with expertise in
soft ballistic systems
to join their R&D team.

Requirements:
* Degree in
Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering,
or similar
* Proven experience in
ballistic protection
, ideally with a focus on
soft ballistics and polyethylene
* Familiarity with relevant standards and testing protocols
* Fluent in English; German is a plus
* Bonus: CAD proficiency (e.g.,
SolidWorks
) and simulation experience
Responsibilities:
* Develop and optimise soft ballistic protection solutions using
advanced polyethylene (PE)
in multi-layer constructions
* Design innovative concepts tailored to customer needs and international standards
* Evaluate and select high-performance materials and explore new combinations to enhance protection and reduce weight
* Plan and execute ballistic test series, analyze results, and refine designs
* Collaborate closely with production to create prototypes
* Use simulation tools to predict ballistic behavior and validate through rigorous testing
* Maintain technical documentation including specs, drawings, and reports
* Work cross-functionally with sales, production, and quality teams, as well as external partners
* Stay ahead of market and technology trends in soft ballistics
