* Isolation, FACS-sorting and processing of primary patient cells for patient-derived (co-) cultures, as well as (single cell) multi-omic sequencing
* Tissue culture of patient-derived tumor cells and human organotypic brain slice cultures
* Document progress, communicate and present data to group, institute members and collaborators verbally and in writing
* Work with members of the group and collaborators as well as independently with respect to experimental design, data analysis, visualization, data interpretation, project planning as well as result communication
* Processing, quality control and integrated analysis of the resulting multi-omics data (e.g., transcriptome, methylome, accessible chromatin)
* We are looking for a motivated PhD candidate with a background or interest in (neuro-)oncology, single-cell multi-omics, neuroscience and data science or related disciplines
* MSc in the life, natural or data sciences and research experience in the areas of cancer biology, neuroscience, ageing, (single-cell) genomics, data science are desirable
* Very good communications skills (lab and institute language is English) and desire to work with individuals of different backgrounds in a multidisciplinary team
* Strong self-motivation, organizational skills, and desire to lead and develop scientific projects in a fast-paced environment
* Scientific curiosity, analytical thinking and interest in contributing to projects
* Keen interest in learning new skills, research techniques, data processing and analysis/interpretation of results
