Field Service Engineer – Mobile Cranes About Zoomlion
Zoomlion is a global manufacturer of construction machinery and industrial equipment, with a rapidly expanding presence in Europe. Our product portfolio includes cranes, aerial work platforms, excavators, forklifts, and other heavy machinery.
To support the development of our service network, we are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to support the market.
Key Responsibilities
1. On-site Service & Technical Support
Perform on-site fault diagnosis, repair, and commissioning of mobile cranes at customer sites
Execute new machine delivery, installation, technical acceptance, and operator training
Troubleshoot issues related to hydraulic systems, electrical systems, engines, chassis, and other related components
2. Service Response & Customer Communication
Act as the local field service engineer, providing first-line technical support within the assigned region
Communicate with customers on technical matters in English and/or the local language
Participate in after-sales follow-ups, maintenance recommendations, and service relationship management
3. Quality Feedback & Continuous Improvement
Record and report typical failures, quality issues, and service challenges identified in the field
Cooperate with headquarters to close service cases and drive technical improvements
Contribute to service case studies and the development of a technical knowledge base
4. Spare Parts & Service Support
Support the identification of spare parts requirements and propose repair or replacement solutions
Cooperate on fast and accurate spare parts matching to improve machine availability and reduce downtime
Requirements
Experience in after-sales service of construction machinery, cranes, or heavy equipment
Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic or electrical systems (at least one core specialization)
Willingness to travel frequently and work on-site
English proficiency sufficient for daily working communication
Minimum of 3 years’ service experience with mobile cranes or crawler cranes
Long-term working or service experience in Europe
Familiarity with European machinery safety standards and on-site operational requirements
Hands-on, field-oriented service profile; this position is not suitable for a purely office-based role
Solid technical background with willingness to develop long-term in a service-oriented career path
Strong customer focus and the ability to professionally represent the company on-site
Potential to develop into a regional technical expert or a future service manager
