We are looking for a PLC & Electrical Design Engineer to support the development, testing, and commissioning of control systems for our industrial heat pumps. In this two-in-one role, you will combine software development with electrical cabinet design and work closely with experienced engineers in a collaborative technical environment.
The role is based in Overath, Germany, with a hybrid working model, requiring regular on-site presence.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
* Development of control software for industrial heat pumps using Siemens TIA Portal (S7-1500)
* Planning and design of control cabinets in Eplan P8
* Testing systems on the company's own heat pump test bench
* Implementation of customer-specific software adaptations
* Development and implementation of visualization solutions in WinCC
* Technical support during commissioning at customer sites
Require Qualifications and Experience:
* Technical training or a university degree in automation technology, electrical engineering, or a related field.
* Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Siemens S7, and WinCC.
* Experience with Eplan P8.
* Willingness to travel (more than 25%).
* Proficiency in English.
* Strong motivation to learn and develop deep technical expertise.
* Desire to make a real impact through your work.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
* Basic knowledge of thermodynamics.
* Proficiency in German.
* Experience working in a multinational environment.
