Network Operations Engineer (BAU)

The Role

We are looking for a skilled Network Operations Engineer to deliver advanced day-to-day network operations support within a complex, enterprise-scale environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of network services, handling complex incidents, and contributing to continuous service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Provide advanced operational support for network infrastructure, acting as a key escalation point for complex incidents and issues

Analyse, diagnose, and resolve network incidents in a timely manner, minimising impact on business operations

Perform operational maintenance activities including routine checks, configuration updates, and performance monitoring

Support the implementation of network changes, ensuring adherence to change management processes and minimising operational risk

Troubleshoot and resolve issues across a range of network components including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers

Contribute to service stability and performance improvement initiatives through proactive monitoring and root cause analysis

Document operational procedures, incident reports, and resolution steps to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

Profile

Solid experience in network operations within enterprise or managed services environments

Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco technologies across routing, switching, and network management

Proven ability to manage and resolve complex network incidents under pressure

Familiarity with ITIL-based service management practices and change management processes

Analytical mindset with a structured approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution

Fluent in English ; German is a strong advantage
