As part of the further development and modernization of barrier systems, our client is now seeking a Embedded Architect for Barrier Systems (m/f/d) Responsibilities Key Responsibilities. In this position, you will assume technical responsibility for the embedded architecture of military access control systems. You will define the hardware and software architecture, oversee the technical design, and ensure that all components are developed to be reliable, robust, and compliant with standards. Operational programming is primarily carried out by external development service providers and specialized suppliers. You will therefore act as a technical sparring partner and qualified review authority, as well as the responsible coordinating unit for these external partners. Through close collaboration, you will coordinate requirements, review interim results, and evaluate code quality. Additionally, you will plan and oversee system and integration tests, be responsible for reviews, approvals, and technical acceptance, and serve as the internal specialist for embedded system issues in the field of access control systems. Job Requirements Qualifications. You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a comparable technical field and have several years of experience in the development and architecture of embedded software and hardware, ideally in the context of safety-critical applications. In addition, you possess in-depth knowledge of programming in C and C++, which you apply confidently and routinely in the analysis, evaluation, and structuring of embedded architectures. You also have practical experience working with STM32 microcontrollers. Since a significant part of your role involves managing and evaluating external development service providers, you excel in analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. You are able to convey complex technical issues clearly, comprehensibly, and in a manner tailored to your audience.
