Overview

Location: Hamburg, Germany (Hybrid – up to 2 remote days/week) OR Berlin (with weekly commute to Hamburg to be with the team)

As our VP Product, you’ll define and drive the strategy behind our products, ensuring that millions of users (B2C & B2B as well as B2B2C) can experience seamless, affordable, and planet-friendly energy solutions.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a high-performing team of Product Managers and collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Marketing, and Operations. You own product direction end-to-end — from vision to roadmap to delivery to commercial success — in one of Germany’s most exciting energy scale-ups.


What You’ll Do

* Lead and scale the B2C product function — guiding a team of 15 PMs and Designers through clear strategy, ownership, and customer focus.
* Ensure product delivery excellence — driving accountability for high-quality releases, performance, and reliability.
* Increase development speed and product output by fostering tighter collaboration between Product, Design, and Engineering.
* Define and execute the product vision through clear prioritization for RABOT’s consumer platform, ensuring alignment with company goals and sustainability ambitions.
* Drive innovation and growth, developing features that directly improve customer experience, engagement, and retention.
* Leverage customer insights and data to inform decisions, test hypotheses, and measure product success.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Design, and Operations to ensure product excellence and seamless delivery.
* Develop scalable processes that help RABOT evolve from 100,000 to 1 million users — without losing agility or quality.
* Represent the customer voice at the leadership table, balancing strategic ambition with user needs and real-world feedback.
* Mentor and grow your team through transferring your product management craft and fostering a product culture that values collaboration, impact, and continuous learning.


What You Bring

Must-Have Experience

* >5 years of Proven B2C leadership experience in product management, ideally within a fast-scaling segment customer centric vertical like neo-banking, quick commerce, mobility, or energy sectors.
* Hand-On Mentality – you like going into the details supporting the team in terms of problem solving
* Strategic mindset — you can connect business goals, user behavior, and technical realities into a coherent product vision.
* Strong analytical and data-driven approach, using insights and metrics to guide prioritization and measure success.
* Strong technical and physical understanding of system architecture and energy products (EVs, heat pumps, PV systems); ideally with a background in engineering, physics, or other STEM fields.
* High attention to detail and strong quality ambition.
* Proven ability to improve development speed and delivery processes while maintaining product quality.
* Deep customer obsession and a track record of creating meaningful user experiences that drive engagement and loyalty.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder skills, capable of aligning diverse teams around shared goals.
* Experience scaling teams and processes in fast-growing environments (start-up or scale-up background preferred).
* Fluency in English (C1+) and German (C1) for effective leadership across teams and partners.

* Product quality and delivery speed are best-in-class, consistently driving outsized impact on company OKRs.
* The team ships high-impact work predictably — clearer ownership, smoother releases, and visible movement on core KPIs like NPS/ CSAT, churn, LTV and product ratings. You’ve defined and rolled out a clear B2C product strategy and roadmap, aligned with business and customer goals.
* Your team is operating with clarity, ownership, and focus — delivering measurable impact.
* Key product KPIs (activation, retention, satisfaction) show consistent improvement.
* You’ve built strong alignment across Product, Tech, and Marketing, fostering a shared sense of direction and delivery excellence.
* You’re recognized internally as a trusted leader and strong communicator who drives both strategic vision and execution discipline.
