Responsibilities
As Head of Product Design, you will shape the future of user experience across Phrase’s B2B SaaS platform. You will lead and grow a team of nine designers spanning Product Design, UX, and DesignOps, setting a clear vision for design excellence at scale. You will define and execute a design strategy that aligns closely with product direction and business goals, while championing user-centred design, accessibility, and quality across every touchpoint. Working in close partnership with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success, you will ensure design is a strategic driver of impact, not just execution. This role is ideal for a senior product design leader who combines systems thinking, strong people leadership, and a deep commitment to building meaningful, usable products in a fast-moving, AI-driven environment.
* Leading and mentoring a product design team of eleven product, UI and content designers
* Setting and evolving the product design vision across all Phrase products
* Aligning product design strategy with company goals and product roadmap
* Championing user-centred product design and accessibility best practices
* Partnering with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success
* Building and scaling design systems and reusable frameworks
* Improving product design processes, tools, and ways of working
* Representing product design at executive level and influencing decision-making
* Using customer research, insights and data to guide priorities and design decisions
Qualifications
* Senior product design leadership experience in B2B or enterprise SaaS
* A strong portfolio showing complex Product Design and UX as well as strategic thinking
* Experience building, scaling, and developing high-performing teams
* Deep knowledge of design systems, UX principles, and accessibility
* Ability to align design outcomes with business and product strategy
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience working in cross-functional, agile product and engineering teams
* A genuine passion for mentoring and growing design talent
