You’ll play a key part in shaping the technical roadmap, guiding engineering standards, and ensuring delivery of scalable, high-quality software. This is a hands‑on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical depth with people management and strategic thinking. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a distributed team of software engineers, driving best practice and professional growth. Oversee the full development lifecycle from planning and architecture through to delivery and optimisation. Work closely with product management to define objectives, priorities, and release plans that align with business needs. Ensure technical decisions support long-term scalability, reliability, and security goals. Maintain focus and momentum in a fast‑moving, agile environment. Establish and monitor engineering standards including automation, testing, and performance optimisation. Support team growth through both internal development and external hiring. Must have At least 5 years' professional experience working with C++. At least 3 years’ experience leading software engineering teams building complex, production‑grade applications. Strong technical understanding of modern web technologies and architectures. A track record of delivering robust, maintainable software in an agile setting. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to guide teams through change. Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field (or equivalent experience). Fluent in English and German, with the confidence to collaborate across international teams.
