Position Overview
As People & Culture Business Partner, you will work as a broad HR generalist, supporting managers and employees in an international, multicultural environment. You will combine operational and administrative HR tasks with more strategic activities, covering the full employee lifecycle and contributing to regional and global HR initiatives.
You will be the local HR point of contact in Germany, working independently and taking full ownership of HR topics on site. At the same time, you will be part of a wider People & Culture team across EMEA – a group that loves learning together, sharing ideas and supporting each other at a distance through close collaboration and regular interaction.
The position is located in Ratingen (near Düsseldorf), Germany. We have an urgent need for this role and therefore hope that you can start on short notice.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage a wide range of day‑to‑day HR and administrative tasks, including contracts, HR documentation, HR data and coordination with payroll.
2. Act as the primary local HR partner for leaders and employees, providing practical, solution‑oriented support.
3. Contribute to recruiting and onboarding activities in close collaboration with managers and Talent Acquisition.
4. Support performance and development processes and help drive improvements in HR ways of working, testing new ideas and sharing learnings with the wider HR team.
Qualifications and Skills
5. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent experience.
6. Solid experience (approx. 3–5+ years) in a broad HR generalist and/or HR Business Partner role, including operational HR and HR administration.
7. Experience working in an international, multicultural setting.
8. A hands‑on, pragmatic mindset – you enjoy switching between administrative details and broader people topics, and you take ownership for moving things forward independently.
9. Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence at all levels, with a collaborative style.
10. Strong communication skills; you explain HR processes and policies in a clear, simple and solution‑oriented way.
11. Fluency in English and German; additional European languages are an advantage.
12. Experience with HR systems; interest in digital and AI‑supported HR solutions is a plus.
13. Experience with Agile organizations or leadership is meritorious.
Who You Are
You are a hands‑on HR generalist who likes to be close to the business and to people. You are structured, curious and comfortable in a developing environment where not everything is set – in fact, you enjoy helping to build and improve processes. You are confident working independently on site, while staying closely connected to colleagues in other locations.
You bring integrity and courage to your work, including when difficult conversations are needed. At the same time, you are a true team player: you share knowledge, ask for input when needed, and enjoy learning together with a dispersed HR team. With your strong interpersonal skills and interest in developing people, you help create an environment where colleagues feel supported, respected and able to grow.

16. You’ll feel welcome from day one.
We’re known for being great colleagues – collaborative, fun and at the cutting edge. Everyone in the Permobil family cares as much as you do about making a positive difference, and even though your closest HR colleagues are in other locations, you will feel part of a supportive and engaged team.
