Recruiting @ Munich Electrification — Hiring Embedded Engineers who want to make an impact on E-MOBILITY. Munich Electrification develops electronic control units for electric vehicles and stationary storage systems with an international team based in Munich at Heimeranplatz.
Responsibilities
* Lead, Empower, and Develop Your Team – take full personnel responsibility for hiring, onboarding, professional development, and compensation planning; act as the primary mentor and go-to person for your team.
* Foster a collaborative and innovative environment, promoting knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration.
* Monitor team workload and health, manage headcount planning, and structure teams for maximum effectiveness and wellbeing.
* Own Product Quality and Test Delivery – assume overall delivery responsibility for testing processes of the product groups under supervision; ensure the test strategy aligns with the product roadmap and customer needs; empower the team to innovate and enhance test automation frameworks and infrastructure.
* Drive process excellence and compliance with automotive standards (ISO 26262, ISO 21434, ASPICE) and serve as the primary escalation point for process, quality, or technical concerns.
* Interface directly with Product and Project Management, Systems and Software Development leadership, and HR to align on strategies and enable seamless collaboration.
Your Profile
* Educational Foundation – university degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable engineering field.
* Professional Experience – more than 5 years in software quality assurance, validation, or testing (preferably in automotive embedded systems); more than 3 years in a technical leadership, test architecture, or management role with a proven track record; demonstrable experience with test automation strategies, tools, and frameworks.
* Domain and Standards Expertise – knowledge of quality and safety-critical standards, ideally ISO 26262 and ASPICE in a testing context; experience with HV batteries, ECUs, or BMS is a plus; familiarity with automotive cybersecurity (ISO 21434) is desirable.
* Leadership Qualities – willingness to own the testing team and product quality; creative, curious, and collaborative mindset; excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork (English required; German favorable).
