Internship areas include Product Development teams in the following fields:
1. Footwear Development - Originals
2. Footwear Development - Running & Credibility Sports
3. Footwear Tooling - Specialist Sports
GROW YOUR CAPABILITIES THROUGH MEANINGFUL TASKS & PROJECTS
For Footwear Development:
4. Get to know the responsibilities of a product developer at adidas
5. Assist the development team in daily business and administrative tasks e.g., calendar maintenance, data entry, preparation of presentations, building of material boards, maintenance of the fabric library, meeting/workshop facilitation and documentation etc.
6. Support the product development team with specific parts of the product development process such as style creation, prototypes & testing, organization of fittings, comment creation, costing and sample management (including testing), benchmark studies
7. Work closely with key partners such as Factories, Liaison Offices, Marketing, Design, Innovation
8. Support the development team on current projects and work on own individual projects as assigned e.g., handling small ranges
For Footwear Tooling:
9. Get to know and support the responsibilities of a footwear product engineer - tooling at adidas
10. Support the team on Digital Product Creation through advanced 3D Design, virtual reality animations and photo-realistic renderings.
11. Support product engineering projects related to factory performance, standards, innovation and digital
12. Apply your 3D/CAD knowledge in practice (e.g., tooling improvements, working with 3D files)
WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A MATCH
For Footwear Development:
13. Students of Footwear Engineering, Product Development, Biomechanics, Manufacturing, Sports science/Sports Technology and similar.
14. Passion for the respective product categories
15. Fluent English language skills (written & spoken)
16. Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel & PowerPoint)
17. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and/or 3D creation software are beneficial.
18. Attention to details
19. Basic understanding of materials and costing
For Footwear tooling:
20. Students of Industrial Design, 3D Design or Mechanical Engineering or similar Passion for the respective product categories
21. Fluent English language skills (written & spoken)
22. Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel & PowerPoint)
23. Knowledge of 3D programs such as Clo3D, Rhino, Blender or similar is beneficial
24. Knowledge of graphic programs such as Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is beneficial
25. Attention to details
26. Ability to work independently and in a team
27. Very good communication and interpersonal skills

ELIGIBILITY
38. Enrolled as full-time student for the complete duration of the internship
39. Or in the so-called gap year between Bachelor and Master’s degree (gap year regulation only applicable to EU citizens due to working permit regulations)
40. Candidates in penultimate year of study preferred (following the internship, students should have maximum one year to graduate)
41. Availability for the full duration of the internship from March – September
42. Ability to relocate to Herzogenaurach in Germany for the full duration of the internship
